This unique piece of porcelain has experienced more than 18 hours of kiln firing, with temperatures reaching over 2200 °F. Along with the sketching, crafting, firing, sanding, glazing and assembling, producing the final finished piece is extremely time-consuming.
This special piece is crystal glazed. The creation of crystals is similar to what happens in the earth when rocks and minerals are formed. The crystals ocur randomly and all pieces are unique.
